A traffic controller directs vehicles and pedestrians safely around a work zone using a stop/slow bat and approved traffic control plan. In NSW they must hold accreditation recognised by Transport for NSW, and in Western Australia accreditation recognised by Main Roads WA. Labour Pro Group supplies accredited traffic controllers across Sydney and Perth, checked and in full PPE, at fixed hourly rates.
Traffic control is where a site meets the public, so it has to be done right. A missed vehicle or a confused pedestrian is a safety incident and a reputation problem.
We supply traffic controllers for construction site gates, crane lifts over footpaths, road and footpath openings, deliveries and civil works — individually or as a team for longer shifts.
Traffic Control We Support
Managing trucks in and out of the site safely during deliveries and pours.
Stop/slow control for road and lane works under an approved plan.
Keeping footpaths and public areas safe around lifts and deliveries.
Controllers for out-of-hours works to minimise disruption.
What Accreditation Do Traffic Controllers Need In NSW And WA?
In NSW, traffic controllers working on or near roads need training and accreditation recognised by Transport for NSW, and most sites also require a White Card. In Western Australia, traffic management accreditation is administered under Main Roads WA arrangements. Work in both states must follow an approved traffic control plan prepared by an appropriately accredited person.
Tell us the site location and we match controllers holding the right cards for that state — Transport for NSW accreditation in Sydney and Main Roads WA-recognised accreditation in Perth. Always confirm your plan's requirements with your traffic management provider.
Every Traffic Controller We Place
- Holds current accreditation for the state
- Carries a White Card
- Arrives in hi-vis and PPE
- Is briefed on your plan and shift
- Is punctual — shifts start on time
- Can be rostered for nights and weekends
Who Provides The Traffic Control Plan?
The traffic control plan (TCP or TGS) is prepared by an accredited traffic management designer, usually arranged by the principal contractor. Labour Pro Group supplies the accredited controllers to implement it on the day.
Send us the plan or the number of controllers it specifies, the shift times and any permit conditions, and we will confirm the crew.
